Farmer's Boulevard

Info

Farmer’s Boulevard define themselves as a raw young culture taking their force out of their anger against racism, against old as well as new fascists and the daily ignorance of the state. In a time where sham and deceit trouble the souls of the people more and more Farmer’s Boulevard mobilise their sharpened musical weapon to create and push their oppositional attitude, to stand up against dishonesty and consumerism – with all their heart and power.

band’s press info in 1997

This was written in a band info from 1997 and since then nothing has really changed except that Farmer’s Boulevard are now almost 12 years older.

Musically, the band offers hardcore without small-minded constraints but also without sucking up to current trends and fashions. In a combination of old and new a unique level of intensity and energy is created. In the past the band have repeatedly called their music “Leipzig AllSchool Hardcore”. It unfolds its force primarily live, as is continually celebrated at various gigs at home and abroad – for instance at the South-East-European tour 2003, Germany/France tours 2004 and East Europe Tour (10 countries!) in 2009 – with local as well as international bands (the verbal dick waving, that is, “which well-known bands have we played with” doesn’t apply here as this doesn’t say the slightest thing about a band – who cares?). Thus, over the years Farmer’s Boulevard have acquired a reputation as a forceful live band.

Farmer’s Boulevard have existed since late 1997. In the summer of 1999 the (almost) definite line-up of Seebi (drums), Seppl (bass), Nudge (guitar) and Haschek (vocals) was completed. In 2004 Marv joined the band as an additional guitarist, but he left 2007 to concentrate on his other band Pagdalan. Farmer’s Boulevard are an inherent part of the local scene in Leipzig and in the meantime probably also one of the older continually active hardcore bands in Germany.

Alongside the band, its members are involved in the campaign “Good Night ‚White Pride’!” since its beginning, parts of the band operate the label PCS Records (Adjudgement, Kayla, Unifight) and the local hardcore resource sxhc.de and its associated festival “Hardcore Lives?!” are also accountable to Farmer’s Boulevard.

The band is always happy to receive requests for gigs, interviews, etc.
